How can I install Yooper ?

Yooper is available only on Firefox 3.0 or better.  Click here to download.

Does Yooper work with every website ?

Whenever you come back on a page, your highlight should still be there.  Unlike most other highlighting tools, Yooper works on sites with evolving content, such as Wikipedia, or with dynamic webpages such as Gmail (unfortunately, it does not work on Yahoo Mail).  If you find that Yooper does not work as expected on your favorite website, please let us know !

Can I use Yooper without an account ?

Yes, Yooper can be used without an account.  Web pages will keep their highlights while the browser is open. 
Opening an account with Yooper is easy, and it gives you access to additional functions such as the possibility to access your highlights from any of your PC, the possibility to search them by keywords, and to view the summary of a page.

What is an openID ?

An openID is a universal and standard way to identify you when browsing the web.  If you have an account with Google, Yahoo or Microsoft, you already have an openID !  Thanks to openID, opening an account with Yooper is very easy: you do not need to enter your personal details, nor remember yet another password.

Highlight

How do I change a highlight ?

To expand the highlighted zone, just select the text that is not highlighted yet.
To change color, choose another color in the color menu (bottom right of the Firefox window) and select the text that you want again.
To make a highlight shorter, select the white color in the color menu, and select the text that you want to remove.

How can I remove a highlight ?

If it is the latest highlight you have made, select "Undo last highlight" from the Yooper menu (at the bottom right of your Firefox window)
Otherwise, right click on the highlight to get the context menu, then select "Remove this highlight".
